After discovering that the game had been released, Game Informer did a test playthrough of the first level on a segment called Test Chamber, and they revealed quite a bit about the gameplay.

As a matter of fact, it would appear that this game has a lot more in common with traditional side scrolling beat ‘em up titles than you might have expected. Needless to say, they usually know what they are doing when it comes to side scrolling titles, and Danger of the Ooze fits right in line with that game style. That being said, it is worth noting that this game was developed by WayForward, the team behind such titles as Ducktales: Remastered and Double Dragon Neon. Danger of the Ooze definitely looks promising, but considering how little we know about it and how much the game has been seemingly buried by the developer, fans would do well to be a little skeptical. What a difference a week makes! Apparently the release date we gave of November 11th was only for the 3DS version of the game, as the PS3 and 360 versions have just been released and are now available to purchase. It was only a week ago that we spent some time talking about a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game that was set to be released soon.
